Barn Conversion, Lincolnshire

UKSD working with the building owner gained full planning permission for a barn conversion in the open countryside in Lincolnshire. Working closely with the client and the Local Authority the design was formed from evolving the existing unused barn. Throughout the concept stage, several options were produced. The final submission included a simple palate of materials with clean lines and simple but effective detailing linking the old with the new, it has been proposed to link the main living area with the bedroom wing with a seamless glass link.

Following planning approval UKSD worked closely with the client and builder, producing detailed construction drawings and site support.

LABC Awards shortlisted the project for best conversion.
